Product Overview
The widescreen display of the Garmin 750 measures 4.3 inches diagonally, which provides seventy percent more of the actual screen than the 3.5 inch models, and boasts bright, vibrant colors.
The easy-to-see screen that's readable even in direct sunlight will automatically adjust brightness and contrast accordingly and the intuitive touchscreen capabilities make it simple to get to your destination quickly and easily with a host of onscreen icons, controls, sub-screens, and menu options that are all functional with the touch of a finger.
With the purchase of the Garmin 750 comes the quick start manual for getting everything set up and operable, a dashboard disk, USB cable, the vehicle suction cup mount, and a power cable for recharging the included battery that runs for up to five hours with a full charge, making it easy to take the device with you while exploring on foot or by bicycle.
The 750 GPS by Garmin is preloaded with highly detailed maps of the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico that include realistic images and details such as street signs and many 3D buildings. The device is also backed by a one year warranty from Garmin.
Notable Benefits and Features
The Garmin 750 goes above and beyond what you'd expect from a portable navigator as it features a surprising number of useful travel tools such as its MP3 and audio book player capabilities. And, you won't have to listen to all of your favorite songs through the internal speaker if you choose not to as the 750 model also has an internal wireless FM transmitter so you can hear music, or the unit's voice prompts, street name announcements, and spoken directions.
The navigator is also able to display your JPEG format pictures, and features a calculator, currency and measurement converters, as well as a world travel clock complete with time zones so you'll never have to remember whether to add or subtract the hours when resetting your watch.
Like all of the personal navigators from Garmin, the 750 is preprogrammed with six million POI, or Points of Interest, that may include places like hotels, restaurants, local landmarks, fueling stations, hospitals, police, or other emergency personnel, and much, much more. Users can also add their own personal POI to the database to make it easy to find their favorite attractions again.
The new Multi-Destination Routing feature of the Garmin 750 allows the user to enter up to ten different routes after adding all of their stops, whether it's the local grocery store or the dry cleaners, or several tourist attractions while vacationing out of town, and then displays the quickest way to get to each destination. This particular feature is rather useful when it comes to saving both time and money as it allows you to make the most of your car's gas mileage.
The patented Garmin Lock feature of the Garmin 750 serves as an anti-theft system, disabling the device completely unless a predetermined four digit personal identification number (PIN) is entered first, or unless the unit is taken to a specific location, also predetermined by the owner.
If you use an optional SD card, Garmin has plenty of additional content to install on the 750 including the Garmin SaversGuide for discounts and money saving details about local attractions and merchants as well as their TravelGuides for even more useful information to use along your travels.
